So I’m starting to feel the need to explain myself a little so that people can make heads and tails of what it is I’m doing here.

To the general public, this is an APPRECIATION blog. Nothing more, nothing less. To a very select few it’s a little bit more than that, but they will know who they are, and what it means.

To ap·pre·ci·ate:

1. To recognize the quality, significance, or magnitude of.

2. To be fully aware of or sensitive to; realize.

3. To be thankful or show gratitude for.

4. To admire greatly; value.

5. To raise in value or price, especially over time.

Let’s put special emphasis on the first, third and fourth definitions with this blog, shall we?

I post pretty pictures of people I like, look up to and admire, primarily in the music industry, and I combine those pictures with quotes that I think fits the situation or the person in one way or another. If it is a quote said by the person in the photo, I will ALWAYS state so beneath the quote.

But much more often the quote is something I’ve found in a book, a fraction from a random novel, a movie quote or whatever other media I stumble upon, and it is therefore NOT something I try to imply that said person has ever uttered in any way.

It is simply me playing with words, shamelessly butchering whatever quotes I find to make them fit into something sweet, funny or thoughtful that means something to me. I do not take credit for any of these quotes, i occasionally adapt them to fit what it is I want to say, and that is why I don’t state where the quote comes from nor tries to imply that anything in said quote was originally intended for the person on the picture I use the quote with. It’s just me goofing around.

The photos I use are all found all over the internet, and I claim absolutely no right to any of them. I mean no copyright infringements with what I do, and I always try to leave the original photographer’s signature on the picture wherever possible. I’m merely a fan admiring their stunning art, and would never mean any harm or try to steal their work.

And with that off my chest I’d like to say thank you to the people who actually got what this was about from the beginning and has stuck with me. This is all for shits and giggles, for the simple pleasure of appreciating, viewing and smiling, and it is very personal. It was never really intended to be a public thing in the first place, but now that it is, I’m having a lot of fun with it, whenever time permits me to.

So, by all means have fun with my blog, and if you don’t like what I do, feel free to drift on to other places that are more to your liking.

That is all.
